We took a five mile round-trip hike to the north end of Wallace Island before we left today. There are two campgrounds along the way. I think the only people who use them are kayakers who arrive from other islands.

These folks were camping at Chivers Point; the northernmost tip of Wallace Island.
A very nicely-maintained Monk cruiser. Ed Monk Sr. lived a few houses away from us in Port Madison. He was dead before we arrived, but his house and nine-boat dock were on the market.

Wow! Such a geological layering of textures and colors.

The “kayak campers” caught my attention for “most original campsite”! Apparently didn’t have or need to pound in tent pegs!

Cool Monk Cruiser! Now THAT could maybe take a piano , , , for cocktail piano selections at sunset, or to provide ballast on stormy waters!
