Yachting 2026.13

There are a few marinas along the coast where all you need to do is say the name and people know where you’re going. Pierre’s in the Broughtons is one, John Henry’s in Pender Harbour is another.

We’re here for a few days because we’ve had enough 30 knot winds for this season. Traveling in the Strait of Georgia under those conditions ranges from uncomfortable to dangerous. Thanks, but no thanks. We’d prefer to be at the Grasshopper Pub waiting for the weather to settle.

The yellow building is the fuel dock.
This is the marina office.
This little guy was singing to me from high atop the neighbor’s mast.
