What? More Flowers!

What? More Flowers!

Mary Anne suggested that we make one more visit to the Desert Botanical Garden before leaving Scottsdale. I readily agreed because the flowering season has been the best we’ve seen.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my photos because, well, here are some more.

I wish we were staying for another couple of weeks because each of these nubs will soon be a flower.
Something you don’t often see, a cactus fruit.
Cholla flowers are easily overlooked becuase they’re green.
Notice the bee doing its job.
Not flowers, but interesting buds.
Yet another bee.
No flowers, but an ususual shape. Does it grow this way, or is it dehydrated?
An example of a Hohokam house and “kitchen”. It was surprisingly cool inside.
Prickly pear fruit.
Seen in the gift shop. These little beauties can be yours!

Yes, this is a superb series and I can see the evolution of your macro shots!

I haven’t yet read your last few posts as we, too, are traveling and I am ignoring email and Facebook in favour of real-world fun!
