Piddle Paddle

Piddle Paddle

It was a fine, cool day on Bainbridge Island. “Cool”, that is, if you compare our 80 degrees (27c) to Scottsdale where it was 105 (41c). Once the tide came up, we decided to paddle around in Port Madison. I took a few photos.

Étude has her window covers in place in preparation for our upcoming trip to Ireland. That’s our house behind on the left and our party-loving neighbors Ben and Kristin on the right.
This house sits on its own island. Treasure Island is located across Port Madison from us. Small island, one house, accessible by a narrow, non-car bridge.
I’ve been told that a couple of Hollywood stars were intending to buy it as a place to raise children. The deal fell through when they decided not to get married or have offspring together. I think the neighborhood dodged a bullet.
This “rustic” boathouse belongs to our neighbor John P. You won’t have heard of him, but you might be familiar with his family’s business.

Gorgeous and love the pictures! Where to in Ireland? Mike and I have been chatting about pulling up stakes here in the U.S. and heading to Canada and possibly Ireland. 🙂

Beautiful photos, Steve. Wishing you and Mary Anne a safe and wonderful holiday in Ireland. Looking forward to your photos and posts of your trip. We’d love to see you when you visit Victoria again.

Beautiful pictures, mysterious star-struck island (maybe Travis and Taylor would be interested?)
Does the rustic boathouse contain a boat? It’s not everyday we see Etude with covered windows—I do love the Ivy on your chimney—so “British Stately Country Home”!!
Disjointed thoughts from me, and appreciative thanks as usual for your fine (and well-photographed ) postings!! Love, MEB

27 C seems pretty comfortable to me. 41 not at all!!
