I Get By…

I Get By…

Las Noches De Las Luminarias is one of my favorite Scottsdale events. Faithful readers will remember photos from past events. I didn’t take many this year – not even enough to make a blog post. So I asked Mary Anne if I could use some of her’s.

I think she takes better photos than I do. See if you can figure out whose are whose. The answer is at the end of the post.

New this year: time lapse photos of the garden taken over a one year period.
A surprising number of adults, possibly drunk, lined up to meet Sonoran Santa and Mrs. Claus.
HarpSynergy: Dr. Heidi and her many harp students
The Sahnas Brothers – once again the best music of the night
We finished our evening at a favorite speakeasy, Rough Rider, for a few drinks and dinner

Mary Anne’s photos are 1, 3, 5, and 8.

Happy Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/New Year, Mary Anne & Steve! All the best to you and Good Luck to all of us. Good to know you. 😻

The Orange Emperor wants to annex Greenland AND Canada, but both countries are resisting (or ignoring) as you know. As much as I would love to attend the wonderful Scottsdale festivities that you have so beautifully chronicled, we are not crossing the border. We will have to make do with skipping over the US and spend a week or two in MX like Ann & Don!

Merry Christmas! It is so good that you are having such good fun!

Thank you for the warm updates–
preparing me for my trip northerly and motherly!
Was that harp teacher Heidi Lehwalder?
I shall have to find my own ‘Rough Rider’, but may
have to go east of the mountains . . .
ours out west here would be called “Smooth Slider”!?
Zucchini-free, I hope!
Love, MEB

All photos excellent. Have always associated harps with religion, courtesy of Felix the cat dreaming of sending Tom and Jerry to heaven. But I would like to hear all those harps playing together. Maybe with a sitar, zither, trombone and banjo throwin in for maximum creative impact. 🙂
