Begorrah!

Begorrah!

We spent our last night on the Emerald Isle at Augherea House near Longford. That’s it, above. The overachieving owner, Matt, turned this old stable into a modern, welcoming B&B. I regret not taking photos of the interior because it was like something out of Architectural Digest. Breakfast exceeded the architecture.

On our way from Inishmore, we passed something that amazed and amused to such a degree that I could only say…

Faith, bejaysus, and begorrah!

Going back to your lament at the difficulty of showing a fuller view of the Isle through your photos, allow me to say I think you did a spectacular job. And given the paucity of blue sky I have seen through your tour, I am glad that Joseph Murray, banished from Scotland by Charles II, spent only a year of his exile in Ireland before catching a ship to the Colonies. Better weather must have had a lot to do with it, as the Isle otherwise seems like a worthy landing spot. Thanks for the great tour!

Well as long as they don’t mix up the embalming fluid with the spirits …
