Thetis Island

Thetis Island

Telegraph Harbour Marina on Thetis Island is a favorite stop. We can walk, ride our bikes, swim, or visit a pub. There’s also a dockhand who does a decent Elvis tribute show in the evenings. It’s also a good place to stock up on farm-raised meat and produce, and fresh baked goods.

The opening photo was taken near the ferry dock looking west toward Vancouver Island.

Canada Day is approaching. The marina is full of folks preparing to celebrate.
Hmmm… Dog walking on an archery range. What could go wrong?
Arbutus trees like to hang off into space. This one has been given a little help to keep from falling into the water. Can you spot the two braces someone has added?
School kid art turned into fused glass.
Is the house number 49 or 147?
A beautiful Monk design built in Vancouver, BC. Ed Monk Sr. lived near us in Port Madison.

Brother Dennis had a 37 foot Monk, it was beautiful but rather slow.

Your reference to Canada Day unearthed an old, very good memory about Victoria and vicinity. I will tell you about it sometime. Keep on plying the seas.
