Prescott

Prescott

Let’s get the fool-preventing out of the way first, shall we? If you tell a local that you’ve been to Press-cott, you’ll be branded as a tenderfoot. It’s pronounced Press-kit. Go figure.

We like to return to Scottsdale from Jerome over the winding mountain road that leads to Prescott. I wouldn’t advise it if there’s ice or snow. Then again, with the way things are going, that may never happen again.

There may be lots to do in town, probably are, but I wouldn’t know. We like to park near the attractive square in the middle of town (that’s the Yavapai County Courthouse above), stroll around a bit, then visit the Palace Saloon for lunch.

The restaurant is decent, but the main attraction is the decor and the “Old West” outfits the waitstaff wear. The cowboy gear doesn’t do much for me, but the saloon gal outfits with corsets and fishnet stockings are just fine.

Couple of things. One, I have no problem making a fool of myself, so your advice is too late. Two, where are the photos of the corsets and fishnets😡
