TBG II

TBG II

Here are all of the things we saw at the Tucson Botanical Gardens that weren’t butterflies or flowers.

Benches

There are a lot of pretty benches scattered around the garden. Some are memorials, some just for fun. I figured you wouldn’t want to see photos of 20 benches, so I just took a few as examples.

Not Flowers

In order to keep TBG I a reasonable length, I separated flowers from non-flowers. Here are the latter.

I was delighted to find the Easter Bunny cactus reincarnated in Tucson
I liked the pattern of white dots
A visitor reads about the Frida Kahlo exhibit.
Bunny Ears cactus – cute! And not too prickly.
This is not a welcoming look
Oddly, at least to me, a bit of Japan
Accurate representations are an important part of the scientific record. The Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix hold an immense library of illustrations and pressed specimens.

Trains

Why are model trains running in a cactus garden? Why not? They’re fun. The tracks run past models of many West Coast railway stations.
