Before we set off for a month or so of boating, I wanted to share some final photos from our second trip through the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. Even though it was very hot, we managed to do a few short hikes and experience the terrain close-up.

I’m not even going to try to explain this. Twenty miles or so south of Taos, we found a collection of artifacts from the era of hot rods and drive ins.
